Come back in a wee while… we’re still working on this page!
Cycling Charity Partners
We encourage people to try bikepacking, but as a society we are also committed to increasing access to cycling for people in disadvantaged groups. Every year we provide a small amount of funding, from the donations of society members, to grass roots cycling charities or social enterprises.
Bikes For Refugees
BFR does an amazing job supporting the resettlement of isolated and socio-economically disadvantaged New Scots, through the distribution of free bicycles and the transformational power of cycling. During 2026 the society raised £1275 for BFR.
Talking Tandems
TT is a small charity in Fife, facilitating tandem cycling for blind and partially sighted people in Fife and further afield. The sighted ‘pilots’ and the visually impaired ‘stokers’ take part in regular group rides with occasional weekend or longer trips. Our regular roamers Jim, Lindsay & Keith, are three of their pilots. We fund-raised £2353 for them in 2023.
Gallatown Bikehub
The bikehub is a social enterprise supporting all things bike in Gallatown, Kirkcaldy. They have a public pump-track, sell new and refurbished bikes and offer a bike repair service. A great service and support in a disadvantaged bit of the town. One of our members Shuggy keeps the bikehub on track.
