Route Overview: 

The launchpad of the central belt lifts us into lush Perthshire mountains, before the open sweeps of Rannoch and it’s moor. The varied riding of the  Great Glen Way, alongside lochs Lochy & Ness, use the fault-line of the Highlands to take us north. Leaving Nessie in the loch, we dip into Glen Affric’s Caledonian pine forest. Beyond is a foray into the remoteness around Ben Wyvis. The finishing trundle is beside the Beauly firth, to ‘civilisation’ in Inverness.
