Stage 1: Edinburgh to Stirling (via Moffat)
426km 6100m 45% off-road
South through Borders country, among the rounded Southern Upland hills, Esk & Tweed and then in deep forestry borderlands. Returning north via the Pentland hills, before following the coast west along the Firth of Forth. Finally we’re dropped off into Stirling over the Gargunnock hills. Melrose, Moffat, Innerleithen & Peebles on the route.
