Fifteen Roam members met up in sunny Portobello for a two-day adventure into East Lothian and across the Lammermuir Hills.
With a helpful tailwind for some of the way, we made good progress east towards St Abbs, tackling plenty of climbing along the route. Day one alone included more than 2,000m of ascent, more than most of our rides.
We finished the day on the breezy clifftops at St Abbs, where we settled in for a wild camp overlooking the coast.
The forecast for the return journey was looking decidedly wet, but thankfully the weather was kinder than expected. We managed to dodge all but a couple of showers as we headed back west, eventually arriving in Edinburgh for some well-earned refreshments.
