You’ll also want to join our WhatsApp Community using the link on the Welcome page, as this is our main way of keeping in touch.
The Announcements group is where you’ll hear about upcoming group rides and other important news. To sign up for a group ride, simply join the WhatsApp group for that particular ride. The ride coordinator will keep you updated and is there to answer any questions you may have.
And if you fancy organising your own informal ride, please do! We’d love to see members arranging their own adventures and getting out riding together.
When you join, you’ll receive a welcome page with a link to join our Roam Scotland club account on Ride with GPS. Once you’re a member of the club, you’ll find all our route files under the Collections tab.
We’re continually improving how our routes are organised, making it easier to find what you’re looking for. Your club account also gives you access to other useful features, including Challenges, which we’ll be making use of in the future.
We also use Strava, where we have a dedicated Roam Scotland Club. It’s a great place to connect with other members, share your rides and see what everyone else has been up to.
It costs just £5 to become a lifetime member.
Our friendly group rides bring members together to share the joys of self-supported bikepacking in the wilds of Scotland. But you don’t have to join a group ride to make the most of Roam.
We want our members to use our routes for day rides, weekend adventures or solo missions — with friends, or simply on your own.
As a member, you can get involved as much or as little as you like. Join group rides, take part in challenges, organise your own informal adventures, or even become a trustee and help keep the society’s cranks turning as we evolve and grow.
Joining is quick and easy. There are two simple steps:

2. Complete your membership registration
Once your payment has been confirmed, you’ll be automatically taken to our registration page to provide a few details and complete your membership.
