We’re a democratic charitable society. Our simple purpose is to get more people bikepacking in Scotland. We make & test routes for gravel bikes.
Around 130 riders make up our growing community, all sharing a passion for bikepacking and exploring wilder places. We’re a friendly mix of men and women, ranging in age from their 20s through to their 70s.
While most of us are based in Scotland and England, Roam Scotland has grown into an international community, with members joining us from Canada, New Zealand, the US, Netherlands, Germany and beyond.
Nobody ‘owns’ a route in right-to-roam Scotland, so we make our basic route files open to all. What belongs to the society is all the information we add to the route. This is for members eyes only!
We’ve spent 8 years linking the best gravel, minimising rougher surfaces and very steep off-road sections, avoiding busy roads and ensuring all the ride info you need is literally at your fingertips.
