Stirlingshire Wild Weekend

Saturday 31st July - Sunday 1st August

Starting in the shadow of Stirling Castle and returning a stone’s throw from the Wallace monument. We’ll skirt the plane of fertile famland via the Gargunnock & Menteith hills into Callander on day one. Day two starts with a climb by the foot of Ben Vorlich, over into Glen Artney, before turning south via Braco to skirt the Ochils back into Stirling. This is a route made with modest distances and smooth riding in mind, with a good balance of tarmac to gravel. Callander has plentiful accommodation, a hostel, and a campsite, with good wild camping just beyond. Whether you want to ride light and find a bed for the night or pack the camping gear, this route works for everyone.

Route stats: 124km, 1624m, 34% off-road.
